Agenda 359 - Siberian exile

Published on: Monday, 3rd o March , 2008
A short update on what currently goes on behind the steel doors of Camp Sibir.

We're constantly expanding our production with more gear and more space. This month we're setting up a new master desk and taking measures to improve accoustics in our increasingly cozy two storey head quarters.

Rehearsal for the summer 2008 production starts up this month, with Jan Roger Halvorsen back at the battery. As for logistics, the few changes include new amps, more guitars and some hundred pounds of obscure analogue synths we most likely won't be touring with, but which make recording a lot more flexible.

The quest for the unique trademark sound eventually turned the side project Locomofon into a standalone business. In addition to supplying Zensor with custom electronics, Sakari and Hanne's handmade effects has spread fast and wide these last months, and most recently appear on the fresh new Nine Inch Nails release "Ghosts I-IV", courtesy of Trent Reznor, Adrian Belew and Alan Moulder. Locomofon effects were also used throughout the second half of NIN's last world tour by lead guitarist Aaron North.

Finally, we've just started booking gigs for the summer – more on this shortly.
