Biography
Zensor makes the punch from Metal and the rigorousness of Industrial mix with the warmth of ambient. These elements combine to generate a unique, watermark sound outlining the Zensor universe: An autonomous dystopia with no exit and no free rides. Discipline is the key word – nothing is left to circumstance.
Zensor was founded late 2000. The band's concept has since evolved and matured and made the ever-expanding universe of Zensor both easy to catch and intriguing to explore. Since the beginning the Zensor crew has been autonomous and self driven, assuring the integrity and consistency of the concept. By doing all tasks themselves - composing, mixing, producing, artwork, building instruments and making videos, Zensor has amassed a uniquely coherent production and diverse range of skills. After their first gig in 2001 they where immediately signed by the independent label Angel Productions. This lead to their début EP Bunker, which received overwhelming reviews from USA to Russia. Zensor was first aired on the Japanese radio show “Mosh and Dive”, and tracks from Bunker have been featured on several compilations in the US and Europe. The sequel EP 'Subsistant' was released in 2003. The band has achieved the rarity of receiving excellent reviews on every single live show, and has appeared on many influential venues and festivals. It is safe to say that Zensor is ready for global exposure, which reflects in the many requests for remixes, musical and technical assistance from various local and international acts.
