Zensor's comments:
A pre-party for the Øya festival. We had low expectations and little gear with us. Still, after sound check, we did think this would play out easily. Not so.
The vocals monitor spurted oddly amusing noises **, but nothing close to what it should. One of the camera crew stepped on Glenn's rig, muting his guitar and leaving Glenn to think the Gibson had failed him. He changed the guitar and played with alien tuning the remaining 5 songs. Steinar tried out some new, thinner strings for this gig, which made the bass play hide and seek, forcing Mads to continuously watch its line. It seemed a disaster area. It was.
On such a messy night as this, audience feedback is essential, and this time it got us thinking it was an ok gig after all. It wasn't, of course, but it could have been worse: The PA crapped out on the following act, loosing all low end. At least we had some luck avoiding the resulting boomblaster sound, and we left all in all well content despite the punk circumstances.
