Zensor's comments:
Celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Bodymap shop, this was rather a low key, relaxed event. It served at the same time as a farewell concert for the old 'Subsistant' production, with hints of new elements just barely leaking through. Zensor served as first band out, with few people in yet, but numbers increased nicely as the first part of the set died out for the calmer bits.
Synths and samplers used: Access Virus B (All), Korg Delta (Hospital), Waldorf Pulse Plus (Hospital), Zensor WP1 (Wither, Saliroman), Emu ESI 2000 (All).
Glenn's Engl fell silent from harsh transport during the MIRR tour, and was replaced for the gig with a Marshal that had seen better days. Neither the usual punch nor the clean sound could be conjured with it, and Glenn asked Mads to give him as much as he could get of everything else in his monitor, so he didn't need to listen to it. Another nuiscanse was the many balloons at the audience's feet. These blew with a sound just close enough to the snare drum, making counting a tad harder. It also did what it could to mess up the live recording done, and the ambient parts. That aside, John Dee is probably our favourite venue, and we feel rather at home, every time. (This has lead to a somewhat relaxed attitude on stage, and we apologize for this. We'll return to harsh discipline next time.)
Thanks to our extended crew for all their efforts. It was a fit end to a massive task of parallell machinery - This also helped forth by the excellent work of mr. Halvorsen at drums. Most of the gig was caught on tape by Fin Film, and we hope to publish some of what was recorded on zensor.net later on.
